ニューヨーク・メトロポリタンオペラハウスの正面玄関にある、シャガールの壁画「音楽の勝利」を複製したステンドグラス風飾りです。

メトロポリタン・オペラ・ハウス（メトロポリタン歌劇場）のロビーの左右に1966年に、画家マークシャガールは、 "音楽の勝利"と "音楽の源"と題し、巨大な壁画を描きました。

同じメトロポリタンオペラハウスに展示されている「音楽の泉」The Sources Of Musicはよく出品されていますが、こちらの音楽の勝利はめったに市場に出回っておらず大変希少なものとなっております。

様々な場所でそれぞれの人々が、思い思いの音楽を奏でる。
そしてそこから生まれたエネルギーは大きな渦となって、ひとりの天女を誕生させる。とても素晴らしい作品です。

光を当てると鮮やかに透過する美しいお品でございます。

ガラスの絵自体にはキズなどはありませんが、金メッキの枠部分は、経年劣化による黒ずみなど見られます。
